Sia – You’ve Changed

You sure have changed . :)

Sorry, that was lame. Let’s start all over.

Sia, who happens to be one of my favorite artists ever, decided to give her fans a taste of what she’s been working on to follow up 2007′s Some People Have Real Problems. So yesterday, she Tweeted a download link of “You’ve Changed”, which will appear on her forthcoming album, We Are Born.

The first thing you will notice about “You’ve Changed” is that it is danceable (!!), something Sia hasn’t bothered to work with on Colour the Small One or Some People Have Real Problems. To be honest, she was probably too busy working on timeless modern classics like “Breathe Me” and “Soon We’ll Be Found” to worry about making you move your hips.

This change makes sense though, right? I mean, people don’t have real problems anymore, right? Let’s just dance.

MP3: Sia – You’ve Changed

Sia’s We Are Born will be out next Spring.

It’s a good song, I like it. But does it touch Breathe Me? Not even close. It might be as good as Electric Bird, which was quite popular in 07.

It’s definitely a cover: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You%27ve_Changed

Thank you for the mp3. I quite like it, but I feel that she could have really gone all out w/ this track with ‘Breathe Me’-esque instrumentation.

Thankyou! I just know that I distinctly remembered that I know “You’ve Changed” as a Diana Ross song.

It’s kind of weird to hear this version coming out now for Sia’s 2010 release, when I’ve been rocking out to the Lauren Flax remix of Sia’s vocals of it for a year now! Has anyone else heard that version? SO. GOOD.

I have! Lauren Flax’s version is just GLORIOUS. It was one of my favorite tracks from 2008. Also, I prefer the vocals on that one than on this release.

This is still a pretty nice spin on the track though and I’m excited to hear what the other songs on “We Are Born” will sound like.

The Lauren Flax version reminds me too much of Royksopp’s “Remind Me”.

Aha! Knew I’ve heard this before and thought it was pretty old, I’ve got that version too.
