After churning out a bevy of awesome remixes of other artists’ work, rising UK electro hero Star Slinger has reached the point in his career where other musicians want to return the favor with their own re-edits of his work. Diplo’s one of the first, crafting his interpretation of Star Slinger’s “Dumbin’.”
It’s full of Diplo hallmarks – that skittering Major Lazer reggaeton drum machine, fragmented scuzzy synth drones, you know the drill – but Star Slinger’s soundcraft keeps shining through, as does guest singer Reggie B’s great vocal performance. It’s a great track for your next dance party. Check it out.
