The London electropop duo Still Corners are gearing up for their second record for Sub Pop, and here’s single number two, “Berlin Lovers.” We can’t get enough of that pulsing, distorted synth loop waltzing around Tessa Murray’s ethereal, echoed vocals – sometimes, her voice and the track’s somewhat uneasy after-dark vibe conjure images of Chromatics gone way more pop. The end product is compellingly strange, endlessly relistenable strobelit pop that in a different world might be inescapable on Top 40 radio. The band’s new record Strange Pleasures is out May 7.
