We always approach remixes of our favorite tracks with a mix of trepidation and excitement. There’s both the hope that you’ll get to experience it like it was new again and the almost parental sense of protection of something you adore. Such was the feeling when we came across this “de-mix” of Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards,” but fortunately Chrome Canyon treats the track with nothing but carefully arranged lo-fi love. The Brooklyn producer explains, “Since I have not been able to get this song out of my brain, I made an experiment in lo-fi-ness with it.” Sounds about right to us. Download the de-mix here.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
