The Drums’ self-titled debut album may be out now digitally, but the physical release of the album won’t be here until September 14. Until then, The Drums are giving away “Down By The Water” — one more song off the album — to appease the fans that have held off thus far.
Though the Drums call the ever-so-hip Brooklyn home, their charming, sunburned sound would make any Californian proud. It’s quite surprising then to hear our summer-lovin’ boys play a song like “Down By The Water”, a 50′s AM ballad with a gut-wrenching vocal delivery that will surely yank at the ole heartstrings. This is arguably the Drums’ best offering yet.
