The Pussycat Dolls Do Slumdog Millionaires Jai Ho stream music mp3 covers

Pussycat Dolls – Jai Ho (A.R. Rahman cover)

Sadly, yes I’m being completely serious. I wasn’t sure whether to call this a cover or a remake or even a remix. Basically, PCD decided to add their vocals to this Polow Da Don produced take on A.R. Rahman’s Academy Award nominated Slumdog Millionaire closer. The scary part is that “Jai Ho” has really good chance of winning the Oscar for best song.

No word on why this song was ever recorded, but I have noticed that someone doesn’t want this song on the internet — all of the links I’ve found, so far, have been deleted. But I managed to cop an mp3, listen to it below:

UPDATE: Apparently PCD is planning on doing a covers album. So far they have covered the Rihanna & Chris Brown duet “Bad Girl” (that might be a bit insensitive now…) and now “Jai Ho,” the Slumdog closer.

Why is it scary that the original has a chance to win an Oscar? The whole soundtrack to the film is brilliant and fits the scenes in the film perfectly. A great film with a great soundtrack.

That is so wrong. They killed it.
UGH.

um the soundtrack is brilliant…one of the reasons why it is nominated for so many awards… i don’t blame anyone for wanting to cover the song, but yeah i agree, i doubt it will even measure up to the original.

THE ORIGINAL WAS FANTASTIC! This will not measure up. I believe Pussycat Dolls are trying to advertise for Slumdog Millionaire which I love, but adding lyrics like “I’ll make you hot”, suggests it’s trying to be a club remix. I’m not a fan. But I do like that they’re advertising for it, but I would’ve preferred a group that can actually sing. It’s catchy, just like the original, but STUPID! And is not the original, so don’t buy it.
I will say, though, I think this will be one of the better songs on the radio, however, just because it’s Jai Ho.

I love the song too. It is one of the best songs I have heard out right now and I do think the video is cute for a bollywood take and one on the hit movie too.
