Drugs and overdosing seems to be the theme of 2009. Danish Duo, tap into the touchy but prevalent subject in “Last Dance” (oh the infamous last dance). This track is definitely a pick-me-up. It has a hint of pop, airy vocals and kind of strays from the duo’s signature “dark rock” resonance. They preformed the song (along with most of their new album) at Lollapalooza in Chicago this August where it received much praise, having Spin Magazine has already acclaimed it to be “immaculate.”

In and Out of Control is turning heads by “giving away” their album (really, studio demos) as they record it via their twitter page. So, join the masses in getting exciting for their fourth “edited” studio album to drop – it should be a good one. Vice Records will be releasing the album in its entirety October 6. They kick off their North American tour at the start of October (the 2nd) in Austin, TX. Listen to “Last Dance” here

This is definitely more poppy. I prefer their more rambunctious earlier stuff, but this is pleasant enough.
