Jack Johnson is easily the worst Coachella headliner ever…And Roger Waters has been doing Dark Side for the past two years straight. Disappointing but I’m going.
i’m happy there isn’t some band like TOOL, RATM, etc, those bands have always ruined the coachella experience for me with a bunch of fucking jerkoffs running around amp’ed up.
With that said, coachella is always about the smaller bands, and there are a ton this year that i’m excited to see, i’ll be there all 3 days, and i’ll enjoy many dozens of awesome shows.
The Verve, Spiritualized, Portishead, The Streets, and so many more will kick ass…

Sure, Jack Johnson headlining is a joke, but I doubt I would have liked any big headliner Coachella brought. Including Radiohead (yes, feel free to shoot me currently.)

The headliners aren’t nearly as…flashy as years past, but the other acts are really solid.

Nice to see 4 Aussie acts playing on the first day (Midnight Juggernauts, Cut Copy, Architecture in Helsinki and John Butler Trio).
Wish I was going this year instead of next year – some great acts on the line-up. Some awesome electro acts, that’s for sure.

there are enough good acts playing to make it worthwhile. who care’s about headliners when you can see justice, simian mobile disco, erol alkan, hot chip, MIA, Chromeo, kid sister, a trak, para 1, sebastian, portishead, KRAFTWERK, KRAFTWERK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really, come on, that’s not a bad lot… and its only a few of the best artists playing. fuck jack johnson.

Also, for all of the nay-sayer folks dissing on the “headliners” because the real action is at the small stages forget that every one of these small bands would LOVE to headline this festival. The only way to make money in the music biz these days is sell Merch at a major show or festival… headliners pull the crowd in and sell merch, and attract all of us who would otherwise never hear these smaller groups who rock supreme.
