You go, !

They only used three songs in “You’ve Got Yale,” Gossip Girl’s 16th episode of season two, but boy were they good ones. A doubling up of Cold War Kids awesomeness (“Mexican Dogs” and album opener, “Against Privacy”), along with an actual song called “The Double” by We Fell To Earth.

If you don’t have Loyalty To Loyalty yet, but you enjoyed the Kids’ last effort, what are you waiting for? The album may get too drawn out at times, and it may not have the same magic of Robbers And Cowards, but it’s still worth a listen or a ton.

The LIST:

“Mexican Dogs,” Cold War Kids

“Against Privacy,” Cold War Kids

“The Double,” We Fell To Earth

brought the music goods as well in episode 14, “By Accident.” With a couple of songs from the soulful rising star Jem, along with “That’s Not My Name” by The Ting Tings, kept their show bopping along.

THE LIST:

“That’s Not My Name,” The Ting Tings
“All The Things You Know,” Blue Judy
“Keep It Simple,” Delays
“Venn Diagram,” Lisa Hannigan
“Oh Me,” James Combs
“It’s Amazing,” Jem
“Bathaddak,” Natacha Atlas
“Down To Earth,” Jem
“Unlimited,” Bosshouse Music

And finally, while we’re on the subject of television…what did everyone think of ’s premiere last night? Has the show gotten too sci-fi for you? Or are you sticking with it, through and through? Personally, I thought last night’s episode was brilliant. Feel free to comment on your favorite music on television this week, along with what you thought of !

The high point of the Lost premiere was definitely Hurley wearing the yellow “I Heart Shih Tzus” T-shirt while tossing the Hot Pocket against the wall. This had to be one of the greatest TV moments ever…I laughed for a good 5 minutes afterward. Dude, ever hear of a Hot Pocket sleeve?

LOST was amazing as ever. Not too sci-fi. I’m too connected to the characters to worry about the producers going an odd direction. It’s perfect. As always.

Totally, agree, Sean!

Although it has had plenty of it’s crazy ‘island time skipping/’smoke monster’/'wtf? in general’ moments – it’s always been about the characters for me – particluarly Hurley and Locke. Awesome dialogue and forever evolving relationships are the foundations for the show, imo. Not to mention, Kate: HOT!

On a side note, Luis, I’ve been coming here for months now after a friend turned me on. This is the first time I’ve posted. As a music junkie who’s ‘all about the word,’ I just wanted to complement you on the fine job you do. Thanks for your efforts. PMA rocks.
