Nah Right reports that the Roots might be ditching the Patrick Stump-fueled “Birthday Girl” as Rising Down’s first single in favor of the title track itself. “Rising Down” is the collaboration everyone has been waiting for. I definitely prefer this piece of masterwork over the Gym Class Hereo-esque alternative.

Chrisette Michelle and Jill Scott are my favorite R&B female singers
Thats a great song
So far the roots are 4/4 IMO
chrisette michele FTW
I never liked Chrisette Michelle’s voice….it’s that kind of ‘classic’ type voice, like Thea on RZA’s song….can’t stand it.
Sorry.
Quite brilliant!
Loved every second of it!
Dear The Roots,
You’ve got your own sound, and it is a good sound… so why do suddenly seem like a GCH knockoff? You’ve been bringing the phat beats since those boys were in diapers. I love you and I’m willing to forgive you since you’ve been so good to me, but let’s shape up a bit please, kay thankies.
“Rising Up” is definitely Fire.
This is cool. its quite gogoesque. This cd is gonna be cool as long as the new bassist doesnt ruin it….
