Here’s another new jam from Thee Oh Sees’ upcoming record Floating Coffin - “Toe Cutter – Thumb Buster.” If anyone can amalgamate psych and pop structures into a single, utterly irresistible song, it’s these guys – what with that amazing, fuzzed-out slow-mo riff, “Toe Cutter” is probably the punch in the face you didn’t know you needed to get up on this dreary Wednesday. Add to that John Dwyer and Bridget Dawson’s mirrored falsetto vocals, a supple bassline, and plenty of distorted guitar quivers, and you’ve got one of our favorite psych-rock fist-pumpers of the year so far. Check it out – Floating Coffin is out April 16.
