As if Kanye West and Jay-Z’s collaborative release Watch the Throne didn’t have enough star power, everyone’s favorite Atlanta jailbird TI decided to take further advantage of his recent release from prison to add an infectious new first verse to album highlight and current zeitgeist definer “Niggas In Paris.”
It’s a welcome addition – TI adds some pidgin French to his customarily deft southern drawl and cranks out less than a minute of irresistible lightning-fast rhymes. “How ‘bout the crown meet the throne?” TI asks as he leads up to it, and by the end you’ll wonder why a new take this awesome this took so long after the record’s release to happen.
