It’s about time an emcee flips tUnE-yArDs‘ freak folk jam “Gangsta”. I wouldn’t have guessed it would have been Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock to do it though.

“Gangsta” takes new life in a thrilling space that is undeniably Ad-Rock’s. Unfortunately his buddies weren’t around to throw some lines over all the grime. But that’s okay; the remix comes part of the recently announced Gangsta 12″ single that includes another remix by Cut Chemist as well as an instrumental and a capella version of the song. The Gangsta single is available on iTunes. Check out Ad-Rock’s contribution below. tUnE-yArDsW H O K I L L is out now and it’s one of the best albums of the year.
