Because he’s a magnanimous man, Tyler, the Creator posted his new track for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto soundtrack, “Garbage,” on Twitter over the weekend. Tyler’s horror-movie lyrics, in which he posits himself as a serially customer-killing drug dealer, are pretty typical, but we’re really obsessed with his rattly, creepy old-school beat; he explains: “I WANTED TO MAKE A BEAT THAT REMINDED ME OF DRUG DEALING OLD FAMLAY CLIPSE TRASHCAN SOUNDING SHIT SO YUH.” Neptunes reverence aside, it’s super evil, swarming in and out like a dropped hornet’s nest, perfectly fitting Tyler’s verses. Check it out.
