“Nothing To Worry About” is one of my favorite songs on the new PB & J album, but it never occurred to me to have someone spit over it. Hmm…it’s not bad.
I’m getting sick of the trends where rappers take an already produced song and just speak over it, then release it themselves to make the big bucks. Pitbull ruined great techno, and now this. Even Kanye put his own spin on Daft Punk, but this is s**t.
@Rory
Wale isnt just taking this to release it and make big bucks.
It’s a free mixtape, so its bound to have lots of rapping over existing tracks. He even does it over Warwick Ave and off 100 Miles & Runnin mixtape he rapped over Justice’s D.A.N.C.E he hears a song he likes and wants to rap over it.
Plus, this is hardly a new trend. It’s at the birth of rapping & hip-hop.
Anyway, love this mixtape.
Rory you’re either retarded or don’t like Rap as a genre, and I even shouldn’t have to explain why
Yeah the latter, David. I’ve no idea it was a free mixtape, well that makes me feel better. Now that I’ve actually given a few listens to it, I actually like it *blushes*
But still, Pitbull is shit.
Yes, Rory, Pitbull *IS* Shit!!
*pats head* lol, good to hear that Ur liking it, I dont like alot of rap but Wale kicks ass
I love Wale’s mixtapes: with his mixtapes and the songs he chooses to rap over, he introduces rap-listeners to different genres they normally wouldn’t listen to, as well as get people who normally wouldn’t listen to Hip-Hop to start. Good sh*t
