Wow.

To me, it seems that the term “freestyle” has lost most of its meaning, so overdub it is (it is what it is).

So I haven’t talked about Wale for a minute. Since releasing his album, he’s slipped out of my radar but he’s back on it hitting hard over Rihanna’s fantastic No. 1 single “Rude Boy”. It’s true, “Rude Boy” is one of my favorite songs right now; it’s incredibly tight and it’s a great change of pace for Rihanna, who has been singing about guns, going hard, and being an all-around bad ass all year, is finally bring sexy back. And now Wale can soak in that sexy and spite fire and one of his most interesting deliveries in a while. Download the track below:

not trying to be a player hater, but has anyone else thought that the last two weeks of music whether it be on pma, hyppem, etc..just plain sucked?

is anyone else burnt out on music overload? i download like a 100 songs a week. listen to albums only once because i’m constantly looking for the new thing.

remixes. i fucking love remixes, but everyone under the sou thinks they can remix now and i’m drowned in fucking remixes, to the point that i can’t breathe. these no named “bedroom” remixers blow half the time.

mash-ups. interesting, but i can only listen them once, because it usually consists of two songs I’ve heard a 100 times.

indie. i’m tired of it. nothing wows me at the moment.

hip-hop. the only thing keeping me slightly sane. chiddy, cudi, & drake have kept it fresh, but how long can they keep it going?

blogs blogs blogs. everyone has a blog. blog overload. fuck.

has anyone else experienced this problem or am I just going music crazy?

thanks man. like i said i’m not trying to hate. PMA does really good work and as a fan of the site i appreciate all that they do. i think the blogosphere has revolutionized music for both good and bad and right now i think more of the bad is showing.

i need to take a break from blogs and downloading music until coachella. hopefully seeing new music live will bring back some of the excitement in music for me.
