are dropping Rooms Filled With Light soon and a whole bunch of teaser singles leading up to it, and we’ve been continually impressed by the sunny electro-pop direction they’re taking. It makes sense, then, that the band recruited Brooklyn post-apocalyptic electro crew to remix their latest single “Shiny Things.”

The result sounds more like a Yeasayer song than a Fanfarlo song, which we guess is to be expected. We’re not complaining, though – we’re suckers for those buried vocals and dizzyingly panning synth effects (put your headphones on!) that give the whole thing a decidedly darker air. Rooms Filled With Light is due February 28. As for Yeasayer, they’re reportedly recording a record for 2012 release.
