After the positive reaction Alabama Shakes got for their contribution to the Silver Linings Playbook soundtrack, it’s no wonder they’ve been tapped to work on the latest True Blood soundtrack. I don’t know what it is about vampire melodramas but they seem to inspire indie rock musicians left and right – in the past Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, Neko Case and Best Coast have contributed to True Blood’s credits roll. Not that we’re complaining. As fans of their debut, Boys & Girls, we’ll take more ‘bama Shakes where we can get ‘em. Listen to “Pocket Change” below:
