Animal Collective What Would I Want Sky (BBC Session) listen

Remember that post-Merriweather Post Pavilion track Animal Collective kept playing live? Yeah, that one. Well according to I Guess I’m Floating, the band told Pitchfork that they weren’t going to release any MPP b-sides, successfully crushing our dreams of listening to a studio version of “Sky” (or now known as “What Would I Want Sky”).

But on January 25th, AC stopped by BBC’s Radio 1 and performed “What Would I Want Sky” for them and, naturally, it’s now on the internet. I really hope they soften up on that No MPP B-Sides policy they’ve established. It’s not too nice to deprive t heir fans of what they want. I’m sure I’d pay for one of those silly double-disc re-releases for a few new Animal Collective tracks.

They also performed “Lion In A Coma” — more AC live bliss. Listen after the jump.
