Here’s our first taste of new araabMUZIK material in a while, in the form of two singles he’s sneakily released over the past few weeks, “Red Wine” and “Black Out.” After a cursory listen, we think we prefer the latter – what with those apocalyptic sirens, percussion like slamming doors, and a deep, droning bass groove, it’s more a fleshed-out song in its own right; compared to it, the more-repetitive “Red Wine” feels like the instrumental from a radio-ready hip-hop song. Both are definitely worth a listen, though – check them out below.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
