Honestly, why is Feels on this list?!
AC is a good band now, but that album sucked (minus Purple Bottle, Banshee Beat, and Grass)
but seriously, this selection is very very weak.

I’ve never commented on here, but seeing that Bloc Party’s Silent Alarm and DCFC’s Plans weren’t on this list, i felt compelled to comment. Two of the best albums of the year hands down.

Well, everyone said it already.

In PMA's defense, they lifted most of the albums from that Pazz & Jop Poll, where Bloc Party is not listed. Plus, I've read Luis comment that he's not that big of a fan of the band.

Still, it would have been nice to see "Silent Alarm" up there considering you've taken the liberty of picking 3 more albums to replace the 3 others you didn't include from the Poll. I mean, it's still lauded critically and it was able to create a stir among the blogosphere, with the band gaining a respectable following in the process. That made me think that they'd be included here. Hehe. =P

That said, "Silent Alarm" is my PERSONAL FAVORITE record of 2005. Yes, I am aware that the band is sadly moving further away from their original sound, their latest offering (One More Chance) is their most underwhelming yet, and my mind tells me I should give up on them; BUT whenever I put this on, I am reminded of their brilliance and I am quickly pulled in again. This album pretty much soundtracked my whole year at that time.

I'd also like to give props to System of a Down's "Mezmerize". That album was CrazyKookyCool. Hahahaha.
