Death Cab For Cutie – Meet Me On The Equinox

If you’re not already a participant in the Twilight craze, do want a reason to express some interest in the upcoming sequel, New Moon?

How about the fact that wrote a new song for New Moon soundtrack? “Meet Me on the Equinox,” is not their best song to date but I can already picture Kristin Stewart running toward Rob Patterson in dire despair. The song reflects desperation and passion, in signature melodrama… which is exactly what Twilight is all about. The real reason this song is somewhat appealing is because it captures the struggles that come with new beginnings and sorrowful endings.

And to anyone that’s upset about Death Cab involvement in the up coming film, I just want you to know… selling out is the new black.

Just look at the New Moon Soundtrack’s track listing: new tracks by the Killers, Lykke Li, Thom Yorke, and Grizzly Bear? A duet with Bon Iver and St. Vincent?! Can we start the campaign for album of the year for New Moon? … I’m only semi-joking.

Read on to listen to “Meet Me On The Equinox” and for the full track-listing for New Moon.

Decent DCFC at best. Doesn't really stand out to me. Excited to hear Thom Yorke, Grizzly Bear, and Bon Iver/St. Vincent though.

I'm pretty sure the New Moon people would pay DCFC the same, be it a great song or mediocre song. ;)

It's a boring song. I am very excited to hear new Bon Iver, though. Selling out truly is the new black. LOL.

Me too!!! Love Bon Iver.. don't know much about St Vincent except for bicycle :)

Why do you think being in a Twilight movie is selling out? The last movie had some great music, and heaps of people will buy the CD and may start liking the bands on it for their other stuff. I had never heard of MuteMath until the last movie and now I love all their other stuff. Haven't really gotten into Muse or Paramore though :

The new Death Cab track is great, the soundtrack looks promising too. The soundtrack for the first movie is fantastic so I'm really excited for this one.

To be a adroit human being is to from a amiable of openness to the mankind, an gift to trusteeship uncertain things beyond your own restrain, that can lead you to be shattered in very outermost circumstances on which you were not to blame. That says something remarkably weighty relating to the get of the principled compulsion: that it is based on a conviction in the up in the air and on a willingness to be exposed; its based on being more like a shop than like a jewel, something rather feeble, but whose acutely item beauty is inseparable from that fragility.
