Every time I try to listen to it, I get incredibly bored. This is coming from someone that listens to Sigur Ros religiously and loved the silences and the stillness of Eluvium's Copia.
My Girls sounds like an interlude between songs on a much better album, but that much better album would keep it as an interlude; a short little something to get from one point to the other, but that better band would never force the listener to sit through close to 6 minutes of this monotony.
This is just this year's BATTLES or LCD Soundsystem: A group that might technically be well put together but is just no fun to listen to. I can only hope that the world gets over this strange fascination soon. To put it as one of the top albums of the decade seems lazy more than anything to me.

I don’t understand how everyone loves Merriweather Post Pavilion. Seems to me all the hipsters who make these lists read about music from the same people and websites and are told it is really good from other hipsters who seem credible because they write about music. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the choices put on this list and could agree in many places (such as the albums or artists being very influential on the progression of music), but music is about opinion and taste. I am sure you enjoy those albums or have once enjoyed them but how many of them do you actually listen to OFTEN? To me the best albums are the ones you could listen to over and over again and never get sick of; albums where there is no time and place for listening, but can be enjoyed to there fullest extent over and over again. If i wanted a hipster's opinion of the top albums of the decade i would go to picthfork, and not waste my time looking at someone who gets there opinions from pitchfork and other websites and just repeats them in a slightly modified list. That being said, I did take the time to look at this list, so my time has been wasted. And I am bored enough at the moment to waste some more time writing a comment about it (could have been playing solitaire). Now all that being considered, I think a more accurate title for the list above would be the top most influential albums of the decade (not all above were influential, but most of them were very influential on music and brought something new or unique to the table). Then again this is all just MY opinion ;)

I find it kind of disappointing how every single “hipster” top albums of the decade list is the exact same, or at least incredibly similar. Nickel Creek - This Side
Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?
Phoenix - It's Never Been Like That
Jump Little Children - Vertigo
The Dodos - VisiterMan, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Its too hard for me to commit to a list, but mine would have Andrew Bird’s Armchair Apocrypha right up on top.

Some others that would be on my list that aren’t on yours:<br

The Cool - Lupe Fiasco
Give Up - The Postal Service
Black Holes & Revelations - Muse
The Crane Wife - The Decemberists
(all this just IMHO, of course)Then again, I don't know what on this list could have gone to make room for them. I might have let go of the Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, and Modest Mouse, because my love for them has faded with time. I also don't see Oracular Spectacular as a great ALBUM, so much a a collection of 4 spectacular singles (Pretend, Kids, Electric Feel, Youth) because I don't actually even enjoy the other tracks. Also, I personally think Viva La Vida is stronger than A Rush of Blood, but that should be balanced against the fact that I wasn't a huge Coldplay fan in 2k2.LOVE that Neon Bible is about halfway down the list. Not personally a diehard Arcade Fire fan, so while I can respect Funeral up at #1, I would hate to see AC taking home more than one from the top 10.
Just sad not to see any love for Andrew Bird.

Omissions:

Armchair Apocrypha – Andrew Bird (would have been my #1)<br
