But the first time I saw the cover I really, really didn't like it. I had to listen to the album thoroughly before I could learn to appreciate it. I love it now, although I think the image on the back cover would have been better as a front cover :) It's awesome. "Insomniac" and before. I liked American Idiot and yes, the hooks are still there, but I prefer Billie Joe writing songs about love rather than politics, and I'm over the rock-bands-writing-operas thing.
