Last week, the Spanish producer Pional made a FACT mix, and alongside music from Four Tet, Daphni, Saint Etienne, and more, he included two untitled tracks by unknown artists. Of course, some fans devoted themselves to sleuthing and have uncovered that one of those tracks was performed live by Jamie xx during one of the xx’s Night + Day festivals this summer – so, here’s a new song by Jamie xx. It’s six minutes of shuffling, clattering instrumentals anchoring abstract vocal edits, at once futuristic and old-school. We’re excited to see what this means – is a new album from Jamie on its way? Check out the track while you wonder.
