Lady GaGa Bad Romance (Hercules and Love Affair Remix) musicYes, this happened.

I’m confused as to why this isn’t better than it is? was one of our favorite albums of 2008, if not our favorite. And “Bad Romance” is one of the better pop songs to be released this year. This should have been a match made in heaven. Instead, it sounds kind of awkward and mismatched.

I think maybe a funky 70s bass guitar loop like the one found on “Hercules Theme” would suit the remix better. Throw in the rumbling, rolling percussion of “Athene” and maybe slowed the vocal track a bit and we’d have a winning, throwback remix of “Bad Romance”, instead we have a half-baked one, or the ones that you can tell were only made to pay the bills.

    Son of a bastard. I saw the title and my jaw dropped. “Awkward and mismatched” basically covers in, sadly :(

    Likewise, I saw the Tweet and my jaw literally dropped – almost retweeted it without giving it a listen I just assumed it would be good. Gotta say, a little bit off and kinda drags.

    I’ll have to respectfully disagree. I think there will be a million epic and brash remixes of “Bad Romance,” so I respect Andy for doing something a bit more subdued. Not a club banger, but good for headphone listening, and definitely good if you’re a throwback house baby.

    Also, Luis, why give away the track if you’re not feeling it?

      Haha, yeah there’s just a stream. But I still wanted to post it even though I wasn’t particularly feeling it because it is Hercules and Love Affair remixing Lady GaGa ffs! You know? It should have been a bigger deal, I felt.

      But your opinion is 100% valid, and correct. There will be tons of “electro banger” remixes. I just know that H&LA are capable of producing something colossal.
