OMG they butchered it!
They butchered the intruments, the butchered the vocals and worst of all they butchered Wayne's rap. I know Madonna had to add her own lyrics so that she could claim royalties (hey, a girl's gotta make a living) but why mess with the structure? The first demo leak IMO was hot. That background voice during the chorus of that song was good, it added depth. This one feels like it's hanging in empty space. Her voice is high, but it's in line with most “Urban” artists these days and this is an “Urban” song.
The most disappointing thing about this is how they cut Wayne down. I hate the guy's music, I don't care for him, but his rap in the original is really cool and I was looking forward to it here. So what do they do? They cut the best part!
Maybe she did it to spite Warner Bros. the same reason she under marketed HC and instead went on a year long tour so she could earn all the M-dollas for herself and leave Warner with nothing. Afterall, she was with them for so long and they didn't even fight to keep her.

Madonna is pretty consistent and creatively progressive, despite sales and chart positions in some countries Madonna is still an amazing success especially for an industry so age concerned when it comes to the female species. Personally on my first listen to Revolver I was mixed in my opinion but further listens find me yet again drawn to the most remarkable and iconic woman in music. This track packs a punch and fuses dance and R&B effortlessly.

I prefer one of the demos, but this version is not too bad. Plus since it is a Madonna song i’m sure there will be plenty of good remixes.

weak , the demo with jackie boyz singing is much more powerful and her voice is clearer , why has she gone back to singing in that high pitch citca her material girl era where cats could hear her

I agree with Anonymous. She’s a bit drowned out, which is sad because her voice is by far the best part of the song. But it’s still really catchy… Just like “Radar.” haha

Can’t stand Lil’ Wayne though.

the demo was a good 30 times better. her voice is over powered by the song.

Waynes verse has been done for months and its always sounded good, her part is the worse hot mess in a while, this song just got progressively worse as more demos came out.

So I was searching online to see if I could find any tidbits about him and found a video of him singing in the limo on the way to the VMAs with Kara Dioguardi of “American Idol.” This sold me on the song (and I never mind when she busts out in song because she’s pretty good). Hearing the song on the radio lately, I thought “Whatcha Say” was a cross between R&B and a late 90s dance song with over-processed vocals. I want to hear real voices. Things that are just bad when overly processed include food, hair, and music. So I’d written Derulo off until I heard he actually can sing today when I watched this video on SOHH.com. Madonna & Lil Wayne: “Revolver” Then there’s Madonna’s new “Revolver” with Lil Wayne, a song meant for her upcoming greatest hits album titled “Celebration.” (Yeah, I know. She’s done ‘greatest hits’ twice already). I dig the song, but admit to being a biased Madonna fan who wanted a good song from here so very badly. Smart move for Madge, since you pretty much are guaranteed a hit with Lil Wayne on your track. (Jay Sean just went platinum for the Weezy-embellished “Down”). I Dig the irony of having Wayne on a song called “Revolver” too; he shot himself with his mother’s gun by accident as a kid according to Vh1’s “Behind The Music.” Check it out on Pretty Amazing.
