I don't get why people in the US haven't picked up on these guys yet – why not? Are Americans insular or what? I really don't get that. Anyway, Muse need to be seen live. End of. Their own shows are best, but Aussies and Kiwis – if you can check them out at the BDO, do it – you won't regret it.
I like the album, I even like Undisclosed Desires (in it's owm way it reminds me of Map of the Problematique), but I agree that it isn't up there with Absolution or Black Holes & Revelations which was simply a divine album. Supermassive Black Hole isn't even the best song off that album!

they are just incredible live. the best band live in my opinion
and the album…i kinda like it, its a bit weirder, more extreme
but its grown on me, defintely worth a listenn

Black Holes was definitely their best, with Absolution being a close second.
Their association with Twilight and Stephenie Meyer is a downright shame, and I nearly cried when I heard Supermassive Black Hole was in that dumb movie.

The Resistance is an excellent alblum, but I still like their other alblums a bit more. I think I just need to give it a few more listens so it can really grow on me as my expectations have become so high. I saw them perform in Philly a few years back and it was a phenomenal performance.

I'll have to give it another listen. I wanted my $10 back after the first one. The music was kinda schlocky, and the lyrics were SO Bush-era. And the protest lyrics were sung with a kind of petulance, like a 10-year-old who seethes against his mom and dad for making him empty the dishwasher.

This was def not their best album, not sure it deserved such high praise. You think traveling around the world would lead them toward their own sound, not like Queen's.
