The new chairlift vid directed by ray tintori looks very similar (released more than a week ago!). you can see it here: http://www.court13.com/Chairlift-EvidentUtensil.mov
i’m not crazy about the pixelation… some transitions work better than others but overall it’s not as pretty too look at as it seems like it should be. cool concepts for both though.

I read this wasn’t being released because another artist was using the same concept (I’d love to see that video, too), so he’s scrapping it and releasing “Amazing” instead, I think.

But I think this is an amazing video. I’ve had to watch it a few times to really watch everything that’s going on. Kind of reminds me of the Windows Media Player/iTunes visual equalizer in video form. Would love to see it in High Def.

I think that the video being intentionally pixelated goes with what the song is about. The whole heartbreak situation isn’t pretty and neither should the video.
