DOWNLOAD: Hump Day Playlist Vol. I
An extension to our regular PMACAST, we will have short weekly Hump Day Playlists to help get over the usually crappy first few days of the week and roll down the still somewhat crappy hill that leads to TGIF, #followfriday’s and the overall weekend. Listen to this week’s 10-track playlist in the embedded player above. Full tracklist and mp3 download can be found here.
LISTEN: New Simian Mobile Disco – “Casu Marzu”, “Thousand Year Egg”
These two new Simian Mobile Disco jams come right off the tail of the somewhat spooky “Nerve Salad” mp-freebie we put up earlier. With offerings like “Casu Marzu” (dubbed the world’s most dangerous cheese) and “Thousand Year Egg”, I’m inclined to believe that even these dudes aren’t bad ass enough to consume that shit. LISTEN: New Does It Offend You, Yeah? – We Are The Dead
Does It Offend You Yeah? first rocked our playlists with their 2008 debut You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into chockablock with sonorous electro bangers like “We Are Rockstars” and “With A Heavy Heart” that made their way through commercials, movie trailers, hip TV shows and parties the world-over. Since then DIOYY fans have enjoyed a steady stream of live shows and festival dates, but only until now have the band offered up any new music. To celebrate the announcement of 2011′s Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You, the band has also unleashed lead single “We Are The Dead”. (Continue Reading)
LISTEN: Gossip Girl Covers The xx and Rihanna, Simultaneously
Taylor Momsen, who plays lovable, annoying bitch-twat Jenny Humphrey in The Great Show Of Our Time, Gossip Girl, took the time to record this acoustic cover/mash of the xx’s “Islands” and Rihanna’s hook on Eminem’s ridiculous “I Love The Way You Lie” — which is actually conceptually cool. And to be honest, it sounds great too. (Continue Reading)

@pmablog I love that you included Criminal Intent. It’s one of my faves from Pt. 2 and I don’t think it gets enough credit.
@pmablog Been lazy in my keeping up with the pmacasts, downloading a whole bunch now, look like they’ll be excellent as usual. THANKS PAL!
