Yael Naim – “Toxic” (Britney Spears Cover) (16 Bit Dubstep Remix)

This remix is by no means new, but it is the definition of fresh. We all know and love the original. Hopefully a lot of you have been enjoying Yael Naim’s sugary cover for years now. But now, 16 Bit have brought it home. Their dubstep remix adds layers of sound that accent Naim’s already fragile-sounding voice, making the cover sound like a music box that could break at any moment. Javelin‘s remix of HEALTH’s “In Heat” is another reason to pick up DISCO2 when it drops on June 22. HEALTH‘s remix album of their last proper release, Get Color. We have already raved about ::DISCO2‘s only non-remix track, “USA Boys,” touting it as one of the year’s best tracks. Javelin takes the loud, hazy Get Color opener — which was only originally a minute and forty-eight seconds long — and spews out a sunny, lazy summer afternoon music personified.
