Here is the nineteenth installment to PMA’s monthly/bimonthly/mostly irregular podcast. This podcast is the longest running gag I have ever kept up on the blog. In fact, the pmaCAST turns 1 on December 23rd! Because we are approaching this oh so important milestone, I found it fit to bring some game. From now on, the pmaCAST will be available in the M4A file format. I know that the move from MP3 to M4A will freak people out, but I promise you, it’s for the best. For one, the audio quality is far superior. But most importantly, from now on, the pmaCAST will have chapters (can I get a woot-woot?).

This nifty feature has been long requested, and I finally decided to go for it. I have only these chapters on an iPod and iPhone, and it seems to work fine on those. More info on M4A’s here. Let me know if you absolutely need the MP3 format back. It’ll just mean goodbye chapters  — as far as I know.

Alright, let’s get down to it. The songs on this episode are basically a few of my favorite songs right now. I played an early form of this playlist at a No Pants Party recently and it went off great. But pantsless parties were not what inspired the tracklist. Although I can’t be completely sure, I am blaming movies like Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist for my selection. With 18 songs in tow, the “Indie Melodrama” episode runs at just over an hour. Nearly half as long as last month’s epic. And now, the tracklist:

pmaCAST #19 The “Indie Melodrama” Episode Tracklist

The Big Pink – Velvet
Apostle of Hustle – Eazy Speaks
Miike Snow – Song for No One
White Rabbits – Percussion Gun
Discovery – Can You Discover?
YACHT – I’m In Love With A Ripper
Japandroids – Wet Hair
St. Vincent – Marrow
Discovery – So Insane
Harlem Shakes – Sunlight
Passion Pit – Folds In Your Hands
Free Energy – Free Energy
Gang Gang Dance – Babey (Dj /rupture and Matt Shadetek Remix)
Matt & Kim – Don’t Slow Down
Matt & Kim – Cinders
Matt & Kim – Good Ol’ Fashion Nightmare
Basement Jaxx – My Turn (ft. Lightspeed Champion)
Outkast – B.O.B.

So there you have it folks. Now it’s time for you to download the podcast, sync it to your iTunes/iPod/other low-level music device and get to listening. Oh and before you go, I’d really appreciate it if you took a second to share the podcast. You can click on the various social media icons below and share that way. Or you can tell all of your friends. Whatever works for you pmaCAST #19: The Indie Melodrama pmacast feature music
