We heard the first glimpse from Tron Legacy: R3C0NF1GUR3D, the remix album of Daft Punk‘s soundtrack for the film, with a stellar interpretation of “Fall” from M83 and Big Black Delta. Fans in Australia will get a special treat when the album drops April 8th on that side of the globe, with a rendition of “End Of The Line” from local heroes Tame Impala. The North American version carries a remix of the same song but by Photek.
Thanks to Modular, the Tame Impala rendition is now streaming live, and it sounds surprisingly similar, but a bit more light hearted than the grimy bass infused vibes of the original. The heavy percussion and slightest touch of psychedelia are certainly evocative of the band’s style, check it out at Modular. R3C0NF1GUR3D comes out in North America on the 5th, and also contains remixes from Moby and Paul Oakenfold.
