Hot Chip, those purveyors of nervous, jittery dance-floor paranoia, might seem a universe away from their countrywoman Jessie Ware’s self-assured art-clubby love songs, but Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard’s remix of Jessie’s Devotion highlight “Night Light” seems absolutely natural. He speeds the whole thing up into sexy disco territory, layering Jessie’s powerhouse vocals over a throbbing bassline and clattering percussion. It’s unexpected, but it fits, and we love it. Check it out.
