British singer and producer, Jamie Woon has just released a remix of the debut single from the most talked about new artists of the last few months, Lana Del Rey. (You can read all about the controversy and speculation surrounding the ingénue over at the ‘fork.) Controversy or no controversy, Del Rey’s Video Games single is one of the best we’ve heard this year. We’re partial to the b-side, “Blue Jeans”, but “Video Games” is still a sterling debut single and Jamie Woon’s remix is definitely welcome.
Woon’s remix is basically just a sped up “Video Games”, injected with some of those awesome Burial-inspired electronics that made singles like “Night Air” and “Lady Luck” so enjoyable.
