The 23-year-old Scandinavian who records her music as MØ is in for a banner year – her cool, emotional, industrial electropop has won her opening slots for likeminded musicians Purity Ring and comparisons to Grimes. As she gears up to release her debut record soon, she’s released this remix of her debut single “Maiden” by Yen Sleep. We’re loving how they pitch-shift her vocals into a hardly recognizable operatic croon and amp up the track’s industrial vibe into strobelit warehouse rave territory, letting the original’s dark, sexy tension bleed through. Check it out.
