If you’re a fan of Moby, than you’re most likely a follower of his official website, in which case you’ve been informed that the influential electronic musician’s forthcoming record, Destroyed, comes out in a few weeks. You also would have received a sneak peak of the LP with a free EP Moby is giving away on the website called Be The One, containing three album cuts: “Be The One,” “Sevastopol” and “Victoria Lucas.” Now, dear fans of Moby, we have an another tidbit to tide us over until the Destroyed release date.
You’ve probably seen the new video for “The Day,” the first official single, which also features an angelic Heather Graham. We have now received a remix of “The Day” by Brooklyn experimentalists Yeasayer, which amps up and electrifies the song in customary Yeasayer fashion, tweaking Moby’s vocals, adding mysterious electro bass sounds, a touch of a dancehall vibe and even more synthesizers. Check out the remix below; Destroyed drops May 17th via Mute.
