Look out James Blake and Jamie xx, there’s a new Brit with swagger that’s got a knack for combining soul with the prominent emerging bass trend coming out of the UK. His name is ; he first got noticed last year with his Burial co-produced “Night Air” and his EP by the same name. The singer/songwriter has just released the first official single from his forthcoming debut, Mirrorwriting, and it’s honestly one of the dirtiest tunes we’ve heard this year.

“Lady Luck” is a bit more r&b than the other current post-dubstep cuts we’ve been hearing this year, focusing on Woon’s exquisite voice as much as it does on the oscillating bass vibes.

There’s also a video of him singing the song on a canoe in Cambodia, no, not a music video, just him traveling on a canoe singing a capella. Mirrorwriting comes out April 4th.

I really like this post dubstep sound. Its great, it has those dynamic bass sounds and emotions but its more linear and accessible. Good stuff.

Why not post the music video to Night Air?

Night Air has that classic MJ beat to it, mixed with a little dubstep.
