Spiritualized – “Always Forgetting With You (the Bridge Song)”

We already told you a little about Lefse’s Space Project compilation when we shared Youth Lagoon’s “Worms” – for the record, fourteen different artists were given sounds recorded in space by the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 probes and asked to write and record space-inspired songs centered around those sounds. Spiritualized’s contribution, “Always Forgetting With You (the Bridge Song),” is apparently inspired by Neptune, and it’s hella romantic – listen as, over an ambient backdrop largely composed of shimmery guitar chords, Jason Pierce delineates all the things he’d do for a loved one. You can pick up the rest of Space Project at a record store starting April 19.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
