Stream: Valentina – Wolves EP

We loved the teaser singles that the London-via-Italy art-pop singer Valentina shared in advance of her debut EP Wolves, so we’re pretty excited – and you should be too – that the whole thing’s now available to stream a week in advance of its physical release on Greco-Roman. Valentina’s a smart songwriter – some of her songs go for heartstring-tugging, bare-bones emotion backed by minimalist instrumentals; others are dance-floor fodder with skittery drum machine and piano-driven, orchestral backbeats; others do both at once. All in all, it’s a fantastic debut effort – “Wolves” and “Ladders,” her first two singles, are obvious highlights, but dig deeper for more gorgeous, haunting tracks. Check it out, or pick it up physically next week.
