Ab-Soul may finally surpass Jay Rock as Black Hippy’s third most-popular MC (spots number one and two are currently occupied by Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q, respectively), what with two killer collaborations with two of the hottest new rappers around. Under normal circumstances, it would be very easy for any up-and-comer to get lost in the presence of an unhinged beat and ScHoolboy Q and Danny Brown, but Ab-Soul is, um, not normal. And that makes us very excited for his upcoming full-length, Control System (out 5/11).
