AlunaGeorge stopped by BBC’s Live Lounge to perform a couple of songs. The first is the title track for their new album, “Body Music.” The title feels apt for the music, with it’s aqueous soulfulness making me want to stand up out of my chair and get a little twisty. The second is a cover of Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin Bout You,” which they completely make their own. In their take, the song is filled out beautifully with effects and a keyboard that sounds like a steel drum, while also picking the pace up a bit. With both, it’s hard to tell it’s a live recording. Their debut, Body Music, is out in June.
