2010 was, without a doubt, Arcade Fire’s biggest year — what with releasing the critically adored, chart-topping and Album of the Year GRAMMY Award-winning The Suburbs. Now, nearly a year after the album’s release, the band’s record label, Merge, is dropping a deluxe version of the record which will feature two previously unheard songs.
“Speaking In Tongues” features renown musician David Byrne, “Culture War” sounds like it could be dubbed “The Suburbs Pt II,” the lyrics certainly pertinent to the issues and politics Win Butler was discussing on the LP. Both tracks were premiered on Zane Lowe’s show on BBC Radio 1, radio rips of which are available for streaming below. The Suburbs, deluxe edition, drops on August 2.
