Last month we posted a new track from the Arctic Monkeys that continued to watch them evolve from contemporary indie poppers into a darker, 60s psychedelia tinged rock n roll band. The aforementioned “Brick By Brick” had no information attached to it, though it was heavily speculated the band would be releasing a new album soon. Now it’s confirmed that the rumors are true with the band’s first official single from their forthcoming fifth LP, Suck It And See, called “Don’t Sit Down Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair.”

In two words, the song is bad ass, but if you require further depth, it’s loud, heavy, and is more appropriate for excessive drug use (don’t try this at home) than looking good on the dance floor. Alex Turner’s voice continues to evolve, matching the sinister ambiance that exists here, and it works wonderfully. The tune is out on May 30th as a 7” and 10” backed with “The Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap” and “I.D.S.T.” via Domino; Suck It And See drops on June 7th.
