If you recall, when Arctic Monkeys released their first official single from their forthcoming Suck It And See, the rock n rolling “Don’t Sit Down Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair,” the band also confirmed they’d be releasing the single on 7” vinyl backed with two B-sides. The single comes out physically today, available via Domino, but both tracks are live streaming below if you’d care to check them out first.

“I.D.S.T.” is brief and noisy, brimming with ominous riffs and slight distortion; “The Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap” is more immediate, Alex Turner’s lovely vocals dreamy and soaked in reverb. Both are evocative of the Monkeys recent musical evolution from indie poppers to bad ass rockers, and we can only expect more of it on the new record. Suck It And See comes out next week, on June 7th.
