You probably have no idea how weird it is to report that there is a new Beach Boys song to listen to. In one of 2012′s most questionable career moves, The Beach Boys have announced the release of a brand new album (100% new compositions; the band promised it wasn’t going to be a “pot luck album”) called Celebration. It’s out June 5th and “That’s Why God Made The Radio” is its first single.

Hey, this sounds like The Beach Boys! Sure, it’s no “Heroes and Villains,” but few songs are. If you’re into reading songtitles, here are some other songs that will be found on Celebration: “Think About The Days”, “Isn’t It Time”, “Spring Vacation”, “Private Life Of Bill And Sue”, “Shelter”, “Daybreak Over The Ocean”, “Beaches In Mind”, “Strange World”, “My Life Suite”, and “Summer’s Gone.”
