Best Coast constantly walks the line that separates sympathy and annoyance. When she gets it wrong, listening to her music can be like listening to annoying friend complain about things you don’t give two fucks about. But when she pulls it off, it’s usually in the form of extremely infectious, pure-feeliung pop that gets stuck in your head and has you singing along happily as can be. This Record Store Day release falls into the latter category; “Fear Of My Own Identity” is a powerful, heartfelt song that can be played over and over again.

This was released on a 7″ this past Saturday.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
