Here’s the newest release from Big Boi’s upcoming record Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors – “Mama Told Me” features a hyper-catchy chorus and verse from Kelly Rowland, an excellent, ’80s-inspired, bouncy Flush Music beat, and classically verbose, hilariously smart verses from Big Boi (first listen favorite: “Tom Petty heartbreaker / living legend, rap scholar, art major / ’cause I make major art / like Beethoven and Mozart so don’t start”). This one’s catchy and poppy enough to make it on Top 40 radio – take a listen now before it becomes utterly ubiquitous. Vicious Lies is due November 13.
