And yet another cover from Justin Vernon’s Bon Iver project. In such a short span of time, and directly after releasing his critically adored sophomore LP, Bon Iver, Bon Iver, Vernon has now put out three covers, whether live or in studio: Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” Peter Gabriel’s “Come Talk To Me” and now the most interesting choice of all, Bjork’s “Who Is It” from 2004′s Medulla.
The band performed “Who Is It” in Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee on Saturday where it was apparently Bon Iver Day. Whereas with the other two covers where they really make the songs their own, here Bon Iver seriously step outside the box and try out some new sounds. Check out live footage of it below; one can only imagine what cover the band will try out next or where. I just hope that I’ll be in attendance.
