There’s something of a Paul Simon-like deftness to this new cut from Born Ruffians. The four piece from Ontario are expected to release a new LP sometime sometime this year, but for now we’ll have to be content with this catchy, summery single. “She always liked her shadow / more than her reflection / it’s a better understanding of her place in the world.” It’s a bright song for such a downcast character.
